Curriculum
Hatikvah International Academy Charter School provides children with a high quality education in a safe, nurturing and friendly environment. Hatikvah, in the Hebrew language, means hope. The Hatikvah International Academy Charter School community believes that its students are the hope of the future; young people who will endeavor to relate and coexist peacefully and fruitfully in our global community.
In order to develop knowledgeable and open-minded thinkers, children at Hatikvah receive the Columbia University’s Teachers College Readers and Writers Workshops, an inquiry based approach to science and social studies, conceptual development of mathematics, the opportunity to think and communicate in a foreign language, Hebrew, physical education, art and music all from a very talented and caring faculty. The Hatikvah International Academy student population is reflective of the local community ensuring that students will develop life-long friendships with a diverse student population. Students are encouraged to share each of their own unique experiences as they get to know each other.
